I picked one up today for 3clams at the goodwill. It appears to be from the 60's. Anyone know anything about these? I can find little to no info on em. Its switchable for voice/music and comes with a swively baseplate. Very sturdy. High impedance.

Not much info, but the finger genius mentions picking one up in this thread. Scroll down a bit.

Cool thanks. It does look pretty rad. A rectangular 2 by about 5 thing. Looks like a minature speaker complete with sony logo on bottom and solid metal. I just recorded melodica into it thru a tube distortion pedal i built into the 4 track. Sounds cool!

I scored a pair of these at a musician's flea market a few years ago. Just got them out for the second time tonight. They're fantastic mics for something, I just haven't figured out what yet. We used them at band practice to demo a song to cassette, which for us--for the moment--is still the most convenient medium for that sort of thing.
