Anybody know if tape guides on Fostex E16 can be rotated?

This machine I just got has really bad wear on the tape guides. I've looked at the heads as close as humanly possible, and referenced this with the great pics on the web about tape head wear, and I really don't see that the heads are worn badly. That being said, the tape guides are worn flat. I'm talking about the stationary guides and the guides that move up and down (before and after the heads), that don't roll. Why they don't roll by design is beyond me.

Anyways, I know parts for the Fostex R2Rs are all but gone. So, if somebody can tell me whether or not there is a way to rotate those guides so that the tape isn't rolling over a gnarly flat spot, that would be great.

Nobody? Eh. Fuck it. I just need some really sticky tape to build up the guides. Clean carefully to a perfect radius and rock n roll. Anybody got some sticky, fucked up 1/2" tape to sell?

Ha.
