I just aquired an Effectron Jr, and the output has a VERY VERY low signal, and the OUTPUT/MIX knob doesnt do anything. I have to boost the signal like 50dB!! If i plug a jack into the bypass input, (but only halfway) then it outputs a good volume signal. So i guess the amplification gets lost somewhere inbetween...
Does anyone have any tips?
I know its impossible to find out without looking into it, i just had no better idea.
Thanks
matt

re:Very silent Effectron jr
My first guess would be that the input Level Pot is dirty.
Does the level knob make noise when you turn it?
Or can you hear it working at all when you are listening to the unit's quiet output signal?
If the former is true, then the Pot is probably dirty/corroded
If the latter is true, than it's probably something else.
Also, the contacts on the quarter-inch audio in or out jacks could be corroded. You can pop the top off easily and look around for anything that looks like it needs some restoring. You can clean the ausio jacks with a bit of sandpaper until they are shiney again.
I've opened my 1024 up a bunch of times to fix various things. Got mine for ten bucks as-is and I've replaced a Pot, cleaned some others Etc.
