PT LE 8 and vanishing waves

Good day.

I'm baffled, here. I'm using PT 8.1, and I cannot tweak it such that regions won't disappear when I drag them.

This does not aid in lining things up.

I just switched up from LE 7. I'm assuming this is user error.

Hi absent,

Have you deleted the Pro tools preference files?

How about the waveform cache file in the session?

You don't mention what computer you are using... PC or Mac?

Also, you need to erase the local audio drives pro tools database file.

This one can get corrupted.
