Can anyone identify the make/model of this guitar (from these shitty screenshots)?

My guess is it's an Eastwood refin, or something Eastwood bases its designs on, like a Univox, Kay, Airline, Valco, Dano or mebbe a National or Supro ...

The pickguard makes me think Univox or Valco, the binding is pretty Dano-like.

The knobs and pegs look like Harmony, tho'.

Sorry, that's all I got.

certainly looks like an early/mid-fifties valco solidbody design. however, the bridge doesn't look like a typical valco bridge.

pretty sure it's a modified supro dual tone.

it's been refinished for sure, and that's an aftermarket fixed bridge. but the routing, and shape all make sense. so i'd say 95% sure.

I agree with zachary, closest thing I can think of is a Supro Dual Tone:

It also looks a bit like a less funky version of the Stratotone H44 too, or the Eastwood version based on it:

But my guess is on the Supro, modified.

I thought it might be a Surpo too but Supros never had binding or truss rods (just a giant hunk of metal in the neck) so the truss rod cover in the photo is a give-away.

It's a Guyatone Excelsior. I can't read Japanese but the first few photos on this page show that guitar on the assembly line. - http://www.guyatone.jp/information/index.html

Nice! Guyatone indeed. Look at that crazy bridge. Cool guitar!

Yeah, Guyatones are awesome.

It couldn't be a H44 anyway, they're super tiny. The bodies almost look like ukes with guitar necks stuck to them.

Good catch!

And may I (or my martoonies) note its replacement knobs, mebbe tuners, and refin'd headstock?

How ever did you find that?

I've missed out on buying that guitar a few times. I'm always a day late. No idea what it sounds or plays like but I'm a sucker for old, weird guitars.

How about another one for you guys? I swear I saw what this one was recently but I can't for the life of me. Saw Edd Gibson of Friendly Fires on Palladia playing it and I'm not having much luck finding it:

There are a number of pictures of it online but none that show the headstock well enough to see a brand name - can't read what that pickguard says either, whether it's something stock or not. I don't remember if the one I saw somewhere recently was a vintage one or a reissue. I dig the segmented pickguard and the curled-looking headstock!

That was quick, thanks! Seems like an interesting modern alternative to something like an old Teisco, still funky but maybe a little easier to play (from what I'm seeing in reviews).

They're pretty advanced and expensive when compared to a Teisco. Sort of like comparing a Porche and a K car.
