recording church organ

Post by lee » Mon Feb 11, 2013 11:15 am

I have a chance to record a church, pipe organ throughout the week and I figured that I'd post here first, seeing if anyone has ever recorded one of these and has anything to say about what they learned (what to do - what not to do). What do you think?
i've written the song that god has longed for. the lack of the song invoked him to create a universe where one man would discover inspiration in a place that god, himself, never thought to look.

They fill a lot of space with sound :)

Best luck I've ever had was just with an X/Y pair, but I've heard people say they've gotten nice results with spaced as well. It's all about finding a even sounding spot in the room. I can't claim to have too much experience at it either, I can only remember doing it once for sure and maybe one other time faintly...
