Source for Tape Delay Pinch Rollers

Post by loxnbabybagels » Sat Mar 09, 2013 10:39 am

So I just stumbled upon this German company selling replacement pinch rollers for several models of tape delay. They also carry replacement rubber parts for many different tape machines. Here's their ebay store:

Anyone ever heard of them? One roller on my Dynacord Echocord Super 75 is warped, so once per revolution it guides the tape a little off the playback head creating a subtle but audible thud. $55 is a lot for a little rubber wheel, but also seems less of a pain than trying to recondition the existing one.

I'll probably just suck it up and order one, but it would be nice to hear from someone who's dealt with this Black Reel Audio Hifi outfit regarding quality.

haven't heard of this German outfit so can't comment.

Have heard positive comments about this guy here in the US of A:

Heven't heard of the Germans either but I've dealt with Terry's and would highly recommend them. They can make new parts for you or re-rubber your old worn out rollers. Good prices, good customer service and quick turn around.

The German stuff looks nice, but I have to give another recommendation of Terry, he's a known quantity and does great work.

It took me forever, but I finally went with Terry--super nice guy and easy to work with!
