Sony tc 252 for $75.. should I?

Anyone familiar with these? How do they sound, are they worth playing with? It's only $75 at a yardsale and it looks like the guy took care of stuff.

A brief Google search shows it as a basic home reel to reel, popular yard sale find? And not a very good one even new. Eh...$75 seems high, if the guy wanted to give it away I still probably wouldn't take it. Probably a lot more fun to be had for $75 elsewhere. YMMV of course. I'm sure if someone was properly motivated with enough skill, money, and desperation they could MAYBE do something cool with it, but just from what I can tell from Google it doesn't look like anything special no matter how great the condition.

Ya I looked around and people don't seem to like them. Pass. I am lookin for another tape deck, maybe even a cassete deck. I really only need two channels. Any recommendations?

if you're just after a good cassette deck, try to find a TASCAM 122MkII or MkIII. Those are 3 head decks, variable speed, adjustable bias, balanced I/O. They'll record well, and you can use them for slap back delay...
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??
