Mastering for iTunes

Post by Bill @ Irie Lab » Wed May 08, 2013 4:41 pm

This is a link to a PDF detailing Apple's philosophy for mastering for iTunes delivery.

While there is a lot of self-congratulation here it may be useful for anyone submitting music for iTunes distribution.

A 'take-away' is that they are open to you sending hi-def files for them to convert to the 256 ACC that will on fan's devices when purchased from the iTunes store.

I hope this is helpful. Cheers.

TL:dr - Give it to iTunes at the full resolution of your original session.
