i'm looking for an affordable way to connect a Lucid AD9624 converter to my MacBook Pro. Currently, I'm using an apogee ONE but I was given the Lucid converter and I thought it would be nice to have a 2 channel input if needed.
Lucid AD9624 has AES-3 and S/PDIF (TOS link and Coaxial) digital outputs.
My preamp is a Brent Averill 1272
Software DP 8
thanks for any suggestions

You need some sort of interface to get digital ins for your macbookPro. What era is the computer? The interface you choose will depend on what ports the macbook has available.
Anyway, I'd try to find one with AES, as TOSlink is limited to 48k. Not that you really need to run any higher, but the Lucid is capable of up to 96k so you may as well keep your options open.
