EV 666

Post by CustomRecordingCo. » Fri Apr 18, 2014 8:12 am

I have a 666 that has a pretty weak low frequency response. Any idea what would cause this or what I can look for?

I would look here first:

check the impedance setting on your mic. btw, how is yours wired? I think that original cannon connector does not mate with an XLR so you must have the pigtail... make sure its wired correctly too.

I have one of the EV 664's and when I got it it was wired incorrectly for high impedance but with an XLR... it sounded like shit. until I rewired it correctly.
