Exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, but unfortunately that one is too small.

it's also a little too weak to support the altec perhaps as an re-20 is 1/2 the weight..

Least expensive would be a Coles 4071 stand adapter, which would plug into the bottom and can mount on stand, with a pigtail to your XLR.

Any Coles dealer should be able to get one.

Dammit! The Coles 4071B is great.... but discontinued in USA.

Have you thought about adapting something from the cine lighting world?

Matthews, Manfrotto, Mole-Richardson etc all make tons of interesting clamps and adapters.

fwiw, I've heard of other North American people buying gear from Thomann's in Europe, and it looks like the 4071B link is from Thomann's.

You might look into it and see what the out-the-door cost would be to import the mount from there. ymmv
