Killer Beyerdynamic m88 group buy!

Post by esotericmetal » Fri Dec 12, 2014 7:29 pm

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up about a pretty killer group buy for a Beyerdynamic m88 going on here:

https://www.massdrop.com/buy/beyerdynamic-m88-tg

If 4 more people commit, it can be had for $279 with free shipping. They normally go for $399 new so this is a ridiculously good deal. Been wanting to get my hands on one of these for a while, but always thought it was a little pricey for a dynamic.

Btw, I have no affiliation with Mass Drop. I actually find their group buys to be pretty weak (you can usually find things just as cheap elsewhere), but every once in a while there's a killer deal like this.

hmmm. you must sign up before you can even see what group buys are in play.
I'm no marketing genius but that doesn't seem like a great way to get the word out. I think I'll pass, I get enough email spam.

Fair enough. However, if you're interested in the mic and want to save $100+ it's worth creating an account if you ask me. It's easy enough to unsubscribe to their emails and I haven't had any issues with the company so far.

Creating an account could be some kind of requirement for them (to get around the Minimum Advertised Price?), just like other stores will require you to add an item to a cart to see the price.

Sold. Always wanted one of these, but I was looking more at the Heil PR35 or the Telefunken M80 due to the price. Hate having to use the ol' credit card at the time, but this is a good deal.

This is awesome. I've wanted a couple of these for a while so the timing is perfect. Thanks for pointing it out!

Awesome! This is my favorite guitar mic. Been wanting a second one for a while now, but they're so expensive. Thanks for the tip!

Hmmm.. I have 3 already, but there is no such things as having too many M88s.

FYI, the group buy was a success. They've just posted another one for the m69. The lowest price is $229 (they're $299 new). Not quite as good of a deal as the m88 but still pretty great.

I realized a few months back after recording a drummer with 4 toms that I need more good dynamics so I may have to go for this as well...
