The idea of a really compact, portable board or board within a case is very tempting to have, because no one wants to lug stuff around. At home, personally, it's like my Zen; something I like to perfect, stare at, etc... if I have to go jam with anyone, it's like a fat chance I'll take any of that stuff with me.

I suppose if I was super determined, I could wire one of those Cannon or EDAC connectors to the mixer and have two cases, one for mixer, one for pedals, and an umbilical.

Wonder if it could be done off the shelve with a DB25?

Or, you could use a snake, the box on the pedal board and mebbe color-code the inputs on the mixer to plug in yer tails.
