The MJUC could not be further from a Distressor/Arouser in terms of compressor action and to some extent, tone. It's AWESOME. Super slow and gluey and has a lot of really nice options when you open the drop-down menu, but not anything at all like the fast, edgy thing that an EL can do.

i kind of like the drop down options more than the compressor action! on a mix the compression seems a lil too noticeable to me. but i bet on bass or vocals it's terrific.

I just got the UA Distressor for $179 with a couple of cupons. It’s sweet.
