- What specifically does this compressor do differently than a stock compressor/limiter? I'd like to know what's actually going on under the hood.
- A lot of us ITB freaks often use compressor plugins in series. Is it not advisable to use Rvox in series with another compressor, or another Rvox in this way?

I've only used mine a couple times, but it seems like it's trying to do the thing where the ratio increases as the signal goes farther over the threshold. It seemed fairly subtle when pushing back a db or two, but then sounded pretty pumpy and harsh when it was working hard. I'll take one real tube compressor over ten plugins, but I'd sooner use a dbx 160 box than this plugin. That said, I bet when used gently this thing could get you there.

I like using it moderately, on "too clean" vocals, that have not been compressed at all.
It is another color in the compressor palette.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.
