Bowers & Wilkins speaker repair

Post by permanent hearing damage » Wed Dec 06, 2017 1:16 pm

so i believe i have a blown woofer in one of my B&W Matrix 805s. I'm getting distortion and it is absolutely the speaker (switched amps, cables, channels, etc). I believe someone unwittingly blew it. I contacted these guys: http://bwgroupsupport.com/service and submitted a repair request but never heard anything from them and there doesn't seem to be any contact number on their site. i went ahead and purchased another pair, but hoping to get this either repaired and/or get it covered by my insurance. i have had a hard time finding anyone who can work with these locally and insurance are looking for someone to submit documentation on repair costs or if it is irreparable. anyone have any recommendations, even if they're far away?

Saw this number on the "Contact Us" page below the mailing address:
978-664-2870

Then within the "Contact B&W" link, found:

US: 1-800-370-1740

UK: 0800-232-1513

Best luck! 8)

If all else fails with that B&W contact info, I’d suggest you call Miller Sound. He’s 35min northwest of Philly. He’s affordable, has decades of experience, and is sweet as they come.

He’s just up rte 309 past Montgomery Mall. He’s done many repairs for me; my Gauss 15’s, my Paradigms... he’s wonderful.
