Bipolar caps - eliminate?

Poking around a yamaha pm180 and see a lot of bipolar electrolytics in there. I've read that these can degrade the sound, since a cap is already problematic and these are in effect 2 back to back. This thing runs off a bipolar supply, and I'm not seeing dc across several of these - so if they're not blocking d.c., what purpose are they serving? Is it a bad idea to just couple stages direct for some other reason?
Having a hard time finding a schematic, but I traced a bit of the input stage. The two circled caps.

I think you mean polarized or do they actually have no +? Bipolar is something else, and I think your power supply is dual rail, or at least that's what I'd call it.

Could be they are there for DC blocking, or they could be part of a filter.

You can get non-polarized electrolytics vs. polarized electrolytics, and I'd probably go that way, unless I was absolutely sure the caps were unnecessary.
