Looping pedal with a controllable "tape head"?

Post by inverseroom » Mon Dec 18, 2017 6:06 am

Anybody know if there's a looping pedal that lets you sweep through the sample with an expression pedal or knob? That is, that controls the position of the "tape head," so to speak?

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for but this is what I was thinking:

Otherwise you may be better off with any number of samplers that let you modulate the start and end points. Ensoniqs famously let you assign to mod wheel which more less defined certain genres. I’m sure modern samplers let you do the same but generally pricey.

iPad app Samplr lets you do this.

Wow! Thank you. I do think the iPad is a much more affordable solution, but that pedal looks really cool.
