I still have a broken M69 and TGX50. My favorite punk vocal and kick/bass guitar mics respectively.
Nope neither are ribbon. And the TGX50 is a very cool mic that they just stopped making.

As far as i know, the capsule of the M88 is available as a spare part ... or at least used to be. I saw it on the german spare parts website and in the UK at polar audio - where it's gone now. It's a moving coil mic, so if the capsule's damaged it might get tricky to actually repair it. The M88 does take the SPLs of a kickdrum, but Beyer recommends the little push-on blast shield that's made for the M88, but its expensive.

Piggy backing here slightly off topic, but didn't want to make a new thread:

Anybody have any luck with the Audio Technica repair department?

I've got an AT4047 that occasionally emits white noise that I'd rather affordably repair than replace (and who wants to sell a broken mic anyway?).

I called Beyer USA about repairing a M201 once and the repair cost was almost as much as a new mic. never fixed it.
