Amphenol to xlr cable pin out?

I'm soldering up a 3 pin amphenol to xlr adapter cable. Everything I see online is 4 pin amphenol. Anyone know the correct pin out for this?

Male XLR pin 2 is the female Amphenol socket 2 (white); XLR pin 1 (black) is Amphenol socket 1; XLR pin 3 is unconnected; Amphenol socket 3 is the braided shield and goes to the XLR case screw (ground).

I have no idear if this is "correct", but it's how the cable that came with an old white Senn 421n is wired, and it works fine.

I note that it matches the Rane Sound System Interconnection, Interconnection-4, Figure 3 Test Cable note (except the ground should come off the Amphenol instead of the XLR). See here.
