I have to vote for iZotope RX6 as well. I do SO much with this. All the time. https://tapeop.com/reviews/gear/123/rx- ... ion-suite/

There's a plugin just out from Oeksound called Spiff that deals with transients in a dynamic way. I've had success with it on both spitty mouth clicks and lower plosives. You can tell it what frequency band to focus on, how sensitive to be, and how quick to release. I also used it on a piano recording that had too much hammer attack and Spiff softened it really well. Plus, when you press "delta" you hear what it's removing, and in the case of the piano it was like a whole magical new instrument!
