yeah i don't buy any gear new. i save the sticker devaluation for someone else. even mic cables i buy used, everything is cheaper that way and for a guy recording at home, those 10 bucks saved add up quickly.

All those little black rectangles look suspiciously like the stickers you'd put over the write-protect notch on a 5-1/4" floppy disk.
