Multi-Band Compressors- Waves C6 vs The Rest

Post by Mustang Martigan » Wed Aug 01, 2018 12:24 pm

I've been checking out MBC plugins and would love some suggestions. I already have a DynEq, Waves F6, and wanna add a MBC. I'm looking at the Waves C6 just cuz of the $29 price tag. Anything else out there, at a similar price that competes or surpasses thr C6? Thabks.

I’m a big fan of Neutron 2, though it does cost more it is a much more modern plugin than Waves. To be fair, it does so much more than MBC. As someone that owns a lot of Waves and has been using Waves since they were the game in town, I just feel like they’ve been selling the same plugins (recompiled for AAX, etc) for 15 years, with only a handful of exceptions. I have a tough time recommending Waves in 2018 though.

As a MBC C6 works okay but I definitely prefer the visualization and flexibility of Neutron.
