if you haven't tried already, you might try uninstalling and reinstalling again. when you do the uninstall, choose the option to delete the drivers. then repeat the install process jumping through all hoops including that setting so windows doesn't "upgrade" your drivers?

of course, just know that no matter what you do, it will probably break again. I used to think that disabling the "Windows update" service would stop Windows from running updates, but Windows 10 now has a "self healing" process that will re-enable the service at will, install updates and reboot you without much warning. the only way i could find to stop that is to set the group policy setting that tells it to check and wait, or download and wait. but even then if you wait too long before installing and update, Microsoft knows what you really wanted to do and does it for you. :evil:
