3 Pin Tuchel/Din Pin Numbers

This seems like a pretty dumb question but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. If I'm looking at a Female 3 pin Tuchel/Din plug from the front (not the solder side) which pins are which? There are no numbers on the plug itself or on the male side on the mic.
I'm building a power supply/transformer box for a Sennheiser MKH 804 and I'd really like to make sure that voltage is being applied to the correct pins.

The pinout for the mic is -

Pin 1: audio output (unbalanced).
Pin 2: 0V common.
Pin 3 is -8 V power.

I just have no idea which pin is which.

I've seen those. My problem is that none of the info sheets tell you which side of the tuchel your looking at. Are the numbers representing the solder side or the front?
It seems dumb but I'd like to 100% sure before I start applying voltage and potentially blowing up my mic.

I replaced a 3 pin DIN last year, unfortunately I tossed it. But I believe I used a meter to find ground and it was simple from there.

The convention is you are looking end on.

Look at the last link re yer power issue, the first to give pin #'s.

Bottom pin 3 is always ground.

AFAIK, the only issue with reversing 1 & 2 is polarity ("phase"); YMMV.
