Last November I was at a very well heeled studio in Tempe, AZ with a deep mic closet.
I noticed a Warm Audio box in there w their version of the 251. Asked to put it up to check it out.
Used it on some harmonies, some percussion OD's and some acoustic guitar.
I really enjoyed singing on it. I got one as soon as I got home and a couple of my friends have gotten the since.
I'm really curious how their U67 holds up. It seems to be their least reviewed mic.

I was curious about those WA67's too. I have a pair of WA87's (the original version) and I've been using them lately as overheads in a Glyn Johns setup and I have been enjoying them. I also enjoy the simplicity of having only 4 drum tracks to mix! But it doesn't work everywhere...

I'll let you know soon. I have one on the way.
It's 'least reviewed' because as their newest mic it was just released. Just started shipping last week.

also curious what you will compare it against? I was messing around and tried a couple tube mics (instead of the WA87s as overhead) and I think I might really like the Mojave MA200, but unfortunately only have one... I believe it is "U67 inspired". the low end had just a little something more than the WA87 and cymbals seemed pretty smooth too.

oh wait, this was about vocal mics... :D

I am very curious about the Warm mics as well. They seem to get really good reviews, and lots of people are buying them. Just today I ordered a matched pair of TZ Audio Stellar X2 Vintage mics after reading the Tape Op review. I do not have a matched pair of LDCs and can't spend a bundle, so we'll see how they do.

I got the WA 67 a week ago.
Very solid piece.
I'm currently on week 4 of six weeks of my left hand in a splint for a torn ligament and fracture so typing is kinda hard.

I don't have a lot of mics at home for a proper shootout but I did compare it to my AT4060.
I'm not that into the traditional shootout anyway. For me it's more about which microphone makes the singer more comfortable singing.

I did like singing into the WA 67 a lot.

I did find a video that compares the WA67 build and features to the Neumann https://youtu.be/yGVOormJEqo

I hope to be able to play the guitar again in a couple/few weeks

Since there is no right answer to this question, here's my insight. When I retired my location recording company, I wanted to get myself a vocal mic as an award for a job well done. After some soul searching, I decided to get a Shure KSM42. No regrets. Regarding the SM7B, I like it quite a bit, but favor the EV RE27 for my voice. The Beta58 has yielded excellent results. Pre-COVID, we would record with 3-4 vocalists playing and singing in the same room with no gobos, etc. The Beta58 has excellent rejection, as do the SM7Bs.

So many excellent mics under $1000 for vocals
off the top of my head from my personal experience:

EV RE20
Shure SM7b
Heil PR 30
Rode NT1
Neat Kind Bee
3u Warbler series
3u CM1
Rode Procaster

for specific situations, a handheld dynamic like an SM58 can sound great for punk or metal performances for singers that need to move around and sound gnarly (listen to Jesus Lizard "Goat")
