ProTools Edit Window - issue
I've been in ProTools land since 1995. Yesterday after having an assistant work on a project, I was left with "THIS" (screen grab). I can't figure out how to get rid of it. NEVER have seen this before - EVER. Spent some time looking in the PT's manual, can't find anything. I don't know even what to call it?
This completely screws up the "starting" point cursor, as it now starts [there .I.] instead of the Blue Arrow. Also now you can't just click anywhere on the screen to reset the blue starting point arrow.
Any help, most appreciated.
Good day

Re: ProTools Edit Window - issue
I recently had the same issue. What version of pro tools are you running? In 9 it's one of the buttons on the top left of the window in the row with tab to transient. Sorry but I can't remember which one and I'm away from the studio computer. The button needs to be selected for normal operation.

Re: ProTools Edit Window - issue
That is the "edit selection" marker for their timeline.
Maybe change some settings?
Also, try placing the cursor at the beginning of the session, it should reset.
Also, try "link timeline edit with selection".
Try stuff...

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

Hello Nick,
and the other posters, to my 'Issue". Now SOLVED!
Tab -
Options>
- Link Timeline and Edit Selection (tick)
Still don't know how it got this way, but now I know how to fix it.
All is fine now!
Thanks again.
