My 'issue' with GoM and all of the burlap looking things is that, no matter the color, its just visually unattractive. I'd really like to at least do the wall with the window in my booth in crushed velvet.
That coms from Rose Brand...suppliers of theatre curtains, trade show drapes, and the like. They also do fire rated fabric.

Or check ebay for "fr velour"
I would imagine that it depends on your AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction).
If your fire marshall is having a bad day, then you, too, will soon be having a bad day.

If you want your free-standing gobos to have more LF (bass) attenuation, try hanging heavy rubber mat - like the ribbed stuff you see in commercial halls and entrances - from the top of the frame (don't attach at the sides or bottom). Sandwich the mat between two layers of fibreglass / rockwool if it is a two-sided gobo, or just put it on the back side if you only intend to use one side of the gobo. Better than a wood core for soaking up LF. The rockwool is for MF to HF.

That looks pretty sheer. It might not enclose the fiberglass/rockwool as thoroughly as you might hope.
