I need to explore dynamic eq. Seems like a bit of a learning curve (excuse the pun).
Fab filter multiband has been blowing my mind recently. It has a feature I have long dreamed of - sidechain input can control any band, AND you can filter the detector path if you want. Super flexible, intuitive, invisible low end management (among many other uses but that's a common one) that would have required some serious goofballery and a fairly epic patch pre-computer.
I know that's not exactly a 'dynamic EQ' but it also pretty much is - and when the computer tools get that far removed (in a good way) from their analog roots the distinctions tend to blur anyhow. I love computers. Don't tell 20 year old me I said that.

I still use several Waves plugins too. SSL channel (E and G), Ren EQ, CLA 3A, 76, 2A. I even bought many of these before the days of the $29 plugin (which is almost every day now). but I don't keep up on the WUP and do not plan to. If they stop working at some point I will have to decide if I really still need them. I could easily use other plugins that I own to do the same task. I just decided not to give them any more money after I had a disappointing experience with their support regarding Waves Tune (which I've detailed in other posts so won't bore you here).
And yes, they have fallen.

PluginAlliance is having a "leap year" sale right now (even though it is not leap year), so if you check their site, there is a coupon to get (almost) any plugin for $29.99 USD. I have the Waves SSL package but I just picked up the Brainworx SSL E-channel too. I think they will likely have these one-day codes going over the weekend.

Did Jesco Lohan have a hand in the trap design?
That looks like his work. How does it sound?

Izotope RX9 - it is more like having a janitor than a dancer but it will clean up the mess.
Eventide Physion - this separates the transient from the tone and allows them to be addressed individually and or mixed back together. Very well laid out, the many presets are great starting points and you can change things in interesting ways.
Eventide Micro-Pitch - very well laid out, easy to use and provides a clear, clean way to perform consistent micro pitch shifting. It is a multi effects plugin with other ambience and modulation options.

Back to plugin suggestions:
Mainstays like Waves. Bundles are best. Check their ongoing sales.
Nomad Factory are unsung and little known plugins I love. You can find them at a reasonable price on "Don't Crack"

Cheers
