I was thinking about gear I have in storage and what I probably should part with at this point and I remembered that I had a pair of Gaines Audio preamps racked up. I recall opening them up and seeing that they were pretty basic op-amp based preamps. Does anyone else have any experience with them? My take is that they were a serviceable and utility preamp, but nothing much more special than something like a Symetrix SX202 (which I always really liked, to be honest) or an M-Audio DMP-3 (which I also liked). Are they worth keeping or should I pass them on to someone who could use them?

Re: Gaines Audio MP-1 Preamp?
Read this yesterday, and remembered using one a long time ago.
Had to check my notes. I do not recall it being good nor bad.
Cheers

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.
