Funny, I almost never do manual fades but I do spend a lot of time finding the perfect fade-out curves in Reaper or Nuendo. Sometime's I'll even draw automation for a custom fade, but I never perform it manually.

I always fade the drums and bass more aggressively than everything else since those are always the ones that take over.
