I have one that needed that on a pretty regular basis, even after getting a replacement set of cables. Am about to go in again, has probably been a decade.

Did you usually have to remove the PCBs? Or did you just do the ones you can reach after removing the bottom cover?

I’ve only done the ones you can reach, normally. I did the ones to the connector boards only when pulling them for other work.

Clean all the insert jacks too!

Actually did mine last night. Everything working perfectly after. I’d lost right channel solo on 1-8, mix B and some of the busses had crackles.

All of the above. Thats why I launched mine in 2000 and bought a Studiomaster P7,and kept it clean. Tascam m 520 before that. OOh-The replacement of the caps.......
