Nice to see but wish it was more long term than a gimmicky anniversary run.

If a four track, then a 424 MKII layout with 246 build quality sporting Dolby S.

These are certainly cool, but there's a very limited amount of oxide available, so I'd be surprised if they went into larger-scale production of these cassettes. With that said, I'd be glad to be mistaken!

If they're making the effort to manufacture these tapes they're doing a sniff and search to test the market.
If these fly out the door who knows what's next...

Not really Tascam reintroducing them but putting their name in a National Audio product. Which, if we’re being honest, is probably better for long term production possibilities.

I cannot wait for Seagate to reintroduce SCSI hard drives, in 1GB, 2GB, 5GB, and a whopping 10GB sizes. RAD!

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

How soon ATRAC cartridges?
I don't think minidisc player and recorder adoption every got big enough to enable that to happen, but bring it on! Keep the great editing, drop the copy protection, and make it 24 bit lossless.

Glad to see it. National Audio sells cassettes, and ATR did a run, though they’re out of type II now.

I still do some 4-track recording, so I guess I’ll probably get a box of the Tascam, for the silly mini-reels if nothing else.

I hope nobody is expecting these to be reasonably priced.
