What mic is this?

Anyone know what Paul's holding in this? My guess is some kind of more obscure Neumann but could be some Gefell thing?

It's a Shure sm59. It was their high end stage dynamic from the end of the 70's. Didn't catch on but it's a great mic. Very flat response and an almost ribbon like sound. Kicks ass on guitar amps.

Yep.
They also made one with an on/off switch.
sm 589.
I picked up 2 of them, along with 2 small battery powered solid state self powered shoulder strapped speakers (6" speakers) from a retired auctioneer.
They rule!
