"Pins" for C-stands?

Post by The Scum » Sat Apr 30, 2022 9:40 am

Does anyone have a good recipe for putting mics on c-stands?

Marvel have completely screwed up the ability for google for "Avenger brass pin," and B&H/Manfrotto bith seem to give me endless lists of adapters to scroll through.

I've been using the tube out of a little desktop stand, but now I want to use the little stand and big one at the same time.

Rick Chinn wrote an article about cutting threads on a Manfrotto 153, which could be adapted to any aluminum 5/8" pin.

I also see that a 5/8 to 3/8-16 pin is pretty common, and I've got a drawer full of 3/8"-5/8" adapters that came with every mic I ever bought...

I think that's what you want. There's a lot of similar things in their product line.
