I’ve seen this in many studio photos. Just curious;
Is there a product name of that white peg-board-esque sound treatment that has a randomized hole-layout?
That white “pegboard” sound paneling?

So who is in the foreground of said photos? What era?
Sinatra & Joe Meek? Probably the Armstrong-type tiles linked above.
Steely Dan? Possibly some RPG product.
More recent? GIK make panels with a random "dot-dash" pattern.
There's also the possibility that it's just pegboard, or is some sort of custom-fabricated thing.

I did my studio ceiling with those. The main reason was because it's a vaulted ceiling with support beams and would have been a nightmare to drywall. I like the tiles though. No idea if they do a huge amount to the sound but it's a classic look.
