Microphone ID?
So this is something I picked up--part of an old police kit for surreptitious recording of conversation. I don't know squat about tiny body-worn mics. I was thinking maybe the company that put the kits together bought the mics elsewhere, but I don't see any identifying marks. Does this look at all familiar to anyone?

Looks like one from maybe the 1990s.
Various manufacturers made and still make them under gov contract.
Try Sennheiser. Shure. Not the pro audio section of their webpages. The corporate or government side.

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

Thanks, Nick. You're spot on about the era these come from. I'll see where this new info leads me.

It does look a little bit like a Countryman Isomax, in terms of the capsule end.

I was wondering that, but the Countryman usually has a square screen instead of a round hole.alexdingley wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 3:49 amIt does look a little bit like a Countryman Isomax, in terms of the capsule end.
Best guess would be an older Shure, as they are & were pretty much ubiquitous with that kind of thing.

Could be the discontinued "Jesse Pinkman" line. Users kept ending up in horrible situations involving the Cartel, DEA, and white supremacists.
