Triad Orbit quick release barrels

Post by standup » Sun Jul 24, 2022 8:51 am

In the last week I ordered a few of these.

I have Sony c38b’s on drum OH duty. It’s a useful mic I could use for lots of things. But I’m too lazy to unscrew it and put it on something else.

So there’s a quick release on one of them now. Also on a ribbon mic I want to move between overhead and other duties. Then I got another one so I could have another stand ready to take a mic with that attachment.

Just hoping for a small improvement in convenience and quality of life.

How do they compare to the classic Atlas?

Much tighter fit than the Atlas. No play in them. A drastic improvement.
