Hi all,
I have a Tascam 244 recorder on the way, and I'm looking to source the rubber I'll need to refurbish it, specifically the pinch roller tire. If anybody knows of a reliable seller, I'd appreciate the recommendation. The only place I've found thus far is westcoastbelts.com, but most of the reviews I've found don't speak highly of them at all.
I've ordered the belts and idler wheels from elsewhere. Aside from that, I'm not sure exactly what I'm getting into with this, as I've never worked on reviving a 4-track before, but I got a good deal on it and figured why not give it a shot? Any other advice, information, or opinions are also welcome!
Thanks,
Ryan

Hey Ryan,
I run a business repairing multitrack cassette recorders and would be glad to sell you a compatible pinch roller. Drop me a message via my contact form and we'll discuss details: https://recdel.com/contact

i bought a new pinch roller from Athan on ebay or Reverb. Thing is they use a proprietary blend so you HAVE to use their cleaner on it, barring that they have a great reputation.

Thanks for the responses so far. Jack, I sent you a message last night. David, I just emailed Terry, but judging by his website, which hasn't been updated since this time last year, I'm not sure if he's still in business. I shall see...
