Push2 as controller for UA Shape Instrument

Post by christiannokes » Sat Feb 18, 2023 6:17 pm

Does anyone use Push2 with Shape? I'm new to this CC business. Started with CC74 on Strings samples in Shape. I can see it moving the Cutoff switch as intended but the only range of motion I get is either 100% turned up or 0%. Wondering why it doesn't incrementally go from 0 to 100. Any ideas?

Sounds like one side or the other is configured to treat that CC like a switch, rather than a continuous value?

I don't know what platform you're on, but it can be useful to use a utility like MIDI-ox to see what's being sent. I'd expect to see messages with 0-127 for the range of the control.

Yeah that's what it seems like. Switch on switch off.

I'm using Luna on a Mac.

Snoise MIDI Monitor appears to be a Mac MIDI analyzer:
