A friend went with his band to the USSR back in the day, and while there, got to see and listen to some of those records. Sounded ok for what it was. 1970s.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

I’m sure it sounded a lot better than ok for the people that were starving to hear it. Very interesting.

oh yeah, some of the samples sound pretty bad - but it was a choice of that or nothing right? not much worse than the 64Kb mp3s that used to exist or the worst, sending an mp3 over SMS/MMS text. I hate when iphone people do that to me lol.
