coniferouspine wrote: That Celtic Frost song, the first song on "To Megatherion" -- I don't remember the name but it's the one that has the kettle drums in it -- it's just this hilarious, bombastic sludgy heavy metal thing with tympani and Wagnerian brass. Totally nuts. And I even talked to the guy (Tom Warrior) about it one time, and he was kinda like, "oh yeah, we knew that was over the top."
Ah, you know "To Mega Therion"--you're right, it is hilarious! Though I know it from the Swedish metal band Therion. Twin metal guitar leads going at blistering speed--I can't help but think I'm playing a video game!

Actually, almost any serious modern metal makes me laugh--even if I unironically like it. And if it doesn't make me laugh, all I have to do is look at the deadly serious expressions in the photos for any metal band and I guarantee to laugh out loud.

Metal. Always hilarious.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

I was watching this show on the animal channel where people sent in funny videos of their pets, and for some reason I couldn't stop laughing my ass off everytime there was a video of a little kid getting knocked on their ass or run over by an animal. Does this mean I'm a bit (alot) warped in the head or does anybody else find this hilarious?

Sorry, to steer the ship back on target I always get a laugh out of that Modest Mouse song (title?) on the Moon & Antartica where Isaac sings about a wild pack of family dogs taking his sister away and eating her. Good Times

Oh my god. "The Answer" is just about the closest I've ever come to 's***ing my pants' laughing... and it just -- keeps -- going !

"Sleep" by The Sugarplastic has that lyric "I've sired now I'm tired and I want to go to sleep" that kills me every time.
he took a duck in the face at two and hundred fifty knots.

The Charaltans UK have that album with the bananas on the front, Between 10th and 11th. I don't think that time has looked favorably on it, but I still really enjoy it every I time I put it on.

But the song "I Can't Even Be Bothered" has the line:

I can see a rainbow / coming out of your hole.

Who thought that was a good idea?!

Makes me giggle every time.
