The new Allmusic.com.... does it work for you???

I have been recently benn to the new allmusic site and it seems not to work... I have emailed them and told them my issues and they responded with no answers, just a form email telling me they are sure people will find it better...

just curious if it is working for anyone else or if the site seems better to you.???

It works on my PC but not on my Mac or any of the two other Macs I tried. Dumbasses.

Hate it. I can't really use it from Linux-based web browsers, so I have to boot back into OS X. Then I'd have to create an account.

Bleah. I think it was a stupid redesign.

It didn't work in Opera, but it seems fine in Firefox.

concur, concur. the redesign makes me think of the funky old strip malls that they tear down, and then put up some giganto mega-strip that looks like same in Denver, Dallas or Detroit.

and as my WashingtonPost.com screen name says, Registration Sucks Monkey Cocks. I'm glad I have a dummy email address that trashes spam automatically.

functionally, I've been able to dig up the same info, but it takes me longer and I have to poke around 3 or 4 different screens or tabs for info that used to be concisely in one page.

so I can see me using it less and less as time goes on. pity.

by the way - viewed fine in Mozilla 1.6 / WinXP.

SUCKS!! SUCKS!!

This reminds me of when hotmail got taken over by microsoft. Back in the good 'ol days, I would type my username and password, and then I would have mail. Nowadays, I have to login, and then I'm bombarded by advertisements and fancy graphics, and I have to wait for a page to load before I can click on the page that has my email.

Fuckin' allmusic now has the fancy graphics (if I had it my way, everything would have the original black and white mac os graphics), and I have to click on separate tabs to get to certain information, and it takes longer-and a lot of content has disappeared to boot!

And then I go to look at the credits for a Billy Joel album, and it tells me that I need to LOGIN. FUCK YOU DUDE!!!!

SWEET FUCKING BABY JESUS I hate the new allmusic site. All the information is burried so deep behind fancy new graphics that never work that I've quit using the site.

And the ONE THING they needed to fix--that you can't command click or open a link in a new window--well, it's still there.

Do they even care?

I tried to look up some credits last night and found out I need to register, just to read public information. This totally sucks. I tried six fucking times to "become a user" just to read some info. I still can't find out what I wanted to. I HATE IT!

It's amazinly lame. The first version was bad enough, in that you couldn't open a new browser tab from a link (freakin' javascript), but this one! It took them a week to be able to change password and log me in. Well, I wasn't trying everyday, but the first few days certainly didn't work.

And I hate how the information on a band is now spread over so many pages. Ugh!
