So I'm looking to upgrade my Trident 65 power supply to a bigger, better, preferably rackmountable solution. I'm in the midst of recapping the board, and want to play around with re-chipping some channels with chips that draw a greater current.
Anybody know how I would go about getting a bigger/better supply for my board?

Re: Power Supply for a Trident 65
I just went through this with my Audioarts console. The PS it had was totally fucked, so I replaced it with a unit from Power One (you can get it on digikey.)
Very nice, lowered the noise floor =)

You should join the Trident Audio users group at Yahoo (lot's of PSU threads there) and check out recordingconsoles.net
I upgrade my Series 70 PSU with one from Acopian. The difference was incredible, I noticed more punch in my audio.
The weak link of the Tridents was the PSU.

Thanks all!

Acopian Gold pwr supplies are what you want. I replaced my Flexmix supplies w/ a 10v & 36v supply. Huge difference. I had John Klett source the supplies. Tons of headroom. I think the 65 is based on the same design as the flexmix. You will have to redo all the pwr cable harnassing. I would addd copper bus bars for your ground while you're at it. I'll try to find the links. K.
