Sure enough. At the NAMM show I had a guy tell me he could sell them to me for $70 a pop if I would order 100. I saw at least 3 different booths there with ribbon mics that look exactly like the PPA and the Nady. Just no brand names on them.

it's prabably less hassle just to buy the branded ones from grmany. no minimum purchase and after you subtract VAT they're about $130.

buying from a factory in china sounds like a nightmare but it can be done. i'm guessing that's what pacific pro audio did. actually, supplying a group buy sounds like a bigger nightmare.

I would buy four if they were pink. If they had a pop filter than looked like a condom, I would buy like a million.

I'm interested in the World's Cheapest Blumlein Pair.

Has anyone actually heard these things?

And. What if we all pre-paid into someone's PayPal account, then transferred that balance to the Chinese when it hit $7K?

If the chinese take PayPal, of course.

I bought one of the first Nady's .
They were worth the retail I paid, so $70.00 dollars would be an absolute steal.

If somone gets this ball rolling I'm in for 2. I suspect the mics are made by Beijing 797 Audio since they seem to be making most of the stuff for MXL, Studio Projects etc..etc... although I couldn't find any info on their site.
