For those of you that are rolling into town a night earlier and want some live music and a place to hang after the pre party at Jackpot. Come check it out!!! It's at the Ash St. Saloon downtown. We'll see you all at the conference!!!
May 29th Ash St. The Key, The Very Foundation, and Junior Private Detective.

So the pre-party at Jackpot is open to anyone attending the conference? I am interested in tying one on with you all.

i was SO WRONG! larry just told me the conference pre-party is actually only for tape op writers & panelists...sorry to mislead anyone...jackpot isn't big enough for everyone anyway! yikes!
and just another announcement that the conference has moved to a larger venue cuz we packed the hollywood theater.
TapeOpCon2003 will now be held at the Portland Art Museum!

Perhaps someone ought to set up our own pre party at a local watering hole. I don't get in until late Thurs night , but might make it out for drinks - though the time change might kill that....
Suggestions?

C mon down to Ash St. and enjoy downtown Portland!!! I'm not sure what the Key and the Foundation are all about yet, but we'll definetly be kickin back the beers and having a good time.

Yeah, sorry about the misunderstanding about the Jackpot! pre-party thing. It's meant to be a get together for Tape Op writers, panelists and volunteers. There's not enough room for 500 guests!!!!
Go see Junior Private Detective if you can. They're great, we'll be finishing their mixes Weds night at Jackpot!
I'm looking forward to the conference. It's gonna be very fun and I'm impressed by the list of panelists we pulled together. Don't forget the post party is Sunday night at the Blackbird right after the final panels. Should be fun.
Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came to Portland for TapeOpCon2003! we had a blast and I'm still catching up on my sleep. New Orleans will be bigger and better - we're tossing around all sorts of new ideas to try down there. Plus you can drink in the street...

TapeOpCon kicked ass this year.... I had a TON of fun and it was great to be a part of the mastering panel. It was also cool to see Jackpot! - a very nice studio.
