I was going to say any of his solo stuff. Brilliant. Jandek?

My old man said that the song was originally written with kind of a reggae feel, but the band never really worked it out, hence it never being on a studio album. And then one day they said screw it and tried it as a straight up rock number, and that's what made it on the record. Apparently Watts was still in the habit of playing it the old way. At least that's what I heard ...

I've got one of the acapello ones. I hear kind of a Dylan influence. I've actually never made it past the third song.

I dont think i could handle an acapella record but i do have some random songs with "full" instrumentation and they've weirdly grown on me.

McCartney's fuzz bass track on "Think For Yourself"
He always seemed to enjoy fucking around with shit on George's songs. That had to be a 1 pass deal.
Adopting strong Liverpudlian accent
"Hey George! I've got this fantastic new thing called a 'Fuzz Bass' Let's track it! GEAR!"

I agree that the coda of Layla is quite sour. I'm sure at them time they were all so in love with the vibe of the session, that it was worth it to them to keep it.

.. Stones' Mother's Little Helper. Jesus - what's that...that...atrocity panned hard right??
That's a cheap 12 string, according to Keith. Sits alot nicer in the mono mix.

Hey bobby, sounds more like player vibrato because it's just at the end of the phrases.

Agreed - like trills or something. Sounds like it's tracked too - with a Rick?? I dunno. But anyway - that panning in the stereo version is fucking weird. There's virtually nothing on the right apart from those nutty phrases.

Is it considered hitting below the belt to mention "Crock of Gold" by Shane - or any existing recordings from St. Andrew's Hall bookings in the past four-five years?
That, is sonic jackassory at its finest.
