Or AUDIO. Or STEREO.

Audioslave, Stereolab (sorry), Stereomud, Audiovent, Radiohead (sorry boys).

Or what about back in the 90's when every 3rd freakin' band had some mash up of the following words:

Box, Dog, Star, Jaw, Drop, etc.

Man, that shit got played out quick.

Queens of the Stone Age.

Musikman, that is really funny about Faded... I know of at least 3 bands with that same name, and one of them (from the Portland area) we have played with on multiple occassions, and I couldn't agree more. But I think they all have the same style anyway.

Not that Winfield is a great name, but we all know how hard it is.

I like some of their stuff, but I have always hated that name. And any "sentence" band names.
I actually kinda like that name, but it is long. I'd hate to type in their URL if I wanted to peep their website.

Chord On Blue was actually received pretty well around here but the hillbillies didn't get it anyway.

Broken Men is my favorite local.

I played in The Mess for years, myself. And The Slugs, which was short for Salt On Slugs, the original name. I guess that's pretty much awful there...

How 'bout Momma Tongue? Fer real.

There was a band called Stone Diam playing around Chicago for awhile. Mercifully, they changed their name.

No, I wasn't in that band, but I saw them live once.

"Mercyful Fate" I think is kind of a stupid name. Get a spellchecker.

Hardcore bands, especially sXe bands, have the FUNNIEST names. And nearly everyone is serious.

Everytime I Die
As I Lay Dying
Something Must Die
Shattered Screams (these are all local)
With Passion (a friend's band to boot)

But by far the best-worst name is xFilesx. That wraps a whole crappy genre in a nutshell.

Which bay area are you from? Because I have a mix cd with every one of those bands on it... and friend told me they are all local.

I can't even think of another band name that comes close to being that bad.

Couldn't disagree with you more.
Brilliant.

I think my vote goes to Hoobastank.
