Re: What did you work on tonight?
Recorded a hip hop demo. This guy spit some 'East coast battle raps' all over my TapeOp tube mic. (with pop screen). Whenever I work with rappers, a line from Ill Communication comes to mind.
"strictly handheld is the style that goes
never rock the mic with the pantyhose"
he he he... our pop screen is 100% genuine pantyhose.
PS and nothing turned up missing after the session, thank you.

Re: What did you work on tonight?
Lessee, that night I worked on a demo of a kid's TV show theme song for a local school play I'm sound-designing. This also involved me trying out my new/used guitar synth--made the process much easier, as I'm a total crap keyboard player.
The writer and director loved it, which is nice.
I also rewired parts of my dining room for about the twentieth time. I'll get it worked out eventually!

I re-tracked a bunch of vocals, added the final instrument for a song I've been working on for two weeks now (a piano), finished a painting (that I just sold for three hundred bucks!), then I ate a peanut butter sandwich. All of those went well. Especially the sandwich.
I am wangtacular.

I worked on new lines in the pools at the Wilson Beach skatepark here in Chicago. There is this pool shaped like a mitten with an island in the middle and there are more lines in it than Beowulf. There is a clover bowl that is old school da kine.
Almost everyone who skates there over 20 is in a band. If I were a schmoozer I'd try to drum up business. The skatepark replaces the golf course in the new age. Ya know, it's networking or not-working...
